Dr B's Genuine Aussie R.A.W ™

Natural Animal Health is the WA supplier of Dr Billinghurst's Genuine Aussie R.A.W ™ (BARF) products for companion dogs and cats.

Natural Animal Health is dedicated to educating companion animal owners and carers about the principles of species appropriate or evolutionary nutrition.

40 years ago,  we Australians fed our dogs on raw meaty bones, raw meat and offal and a few table scraps. Everyone knew how to do it. It was common sense. As a consequence our dogs were healthy.

That method of feeding dogs is now lost knowledge for many dog owners. It disappeared when processed dog food became popular in Australia. (In USA, that knowledge had largely disappeared by the mid-thirties)

Now our dogs (and cats) are being fed grain-based, heat treated, cooked and processed industrial food that comes in a packet, a tin or a pot on the stove.  And our dogs are suffering as a consequence.  Our dogs have skin problems and "allergies",  they are suffering chronic illnesses and developing degenerative diseases that were not heard of in the dog population 40 years ago and they are dying of cancer.

There is a link between what our dogs are being asked to eat and their health.

Our dogs need REAL FOOD.

We want all pets to be happy, active, bright, alert and fee of problems and we want them that way for their whole life.  We want our young pets to develop to the peak of their genetic potential, our breeding stock to produce supremely healthy offspring, our active pets to perform to the maximum of their inherited limits, our sick pets to become well and our aged pets to become "young" again.  Feeding our pets their optimum diet is the most effective way to achieve these aims.
